ATAK Setup Guide

Connect to our TAK server for real-time crew tracking

What is ATAK?

ATAK (Android Team Awareness Kit) is a geospatial mapping app originally developed for military use. We use it for festival crew coordination - see everyone's location on a shared map in real-time.

Works with Meshtastic radios for offline mesh networking when cell service is unreliable.

Quick Start

1

Download ATAK

Get ATAK-CIV from the Google Play Store (Android only)

2

Get Your Data Package

Download your connection profile from the server. Log into the OpenTAK web UI and go to Data Packages.

3

Import the Package

Open the .zip file with ATAK - it will auto-configure your server connection and certificates.

4

You're Connected

Your location will appear on the shared map. You'll see other crew members as they move.

Note: Using the data package from the web UI is much easier than manual config.
